I will let everyone know how they turn out. I didn't use a cannabutter recipe cuz i'm too lazy. I just soaked a half ounce of some kush in some everclear for a couple weeks, then added that to my brownie mix. I can barely feel the edibles I get at the dispensary - I'm hoping my own will be stronger.

thats cool you should put the recipe up of how YOU made the brownies cuz i cant really make cannabutter in my house since it will probably smell

it's not gonna work though. THC has to be activated if you're putting it in an alcohol.

not to mention the everclear will probably catch on fire . . . while trying to cook the brownies . . .

Drinking

One may extract the active ingredients from marijuana using alcohol and then use this tincture to make a potent drink. The highest proof alcohol available should be used, preferably 190 proof grain alcohol, since the water in the alcohol will dissolve other chemicals in the marijuana that one wishes to avoid. Some suggest soaking the grass in warm water for a period to remove those chemicals but that presents a whole host of other and is not really recommended. One may simply place the marijuana into a bottle of grain alcohol and let the canabanoids leach out, but this takes 2-3 weeks of time. A faster method is to heat the alcohol to sub-boiling and stir in the marijuana. Great deal of care should be taken if this method is chosen as the alcohol is highly flammable. The resulting tincture, often called "Green Dragon", is a light to emerald green liquid, which can be drunk straight, but this is not recommended. Highly lauded is a drink of 3 parts lemon lime soda, 1 part green dragon and a dollop of honey served over ice.

Oh, it worked alright! I'm still buzzing from brownies I had over 6 hours ago. It put me to sleep it was so powerful.

Cannabis binds to alcohol; soaking it in Everclear for 2 weeks does the trick, and requires no further activation (although if it did, heating it to 315 degrees while cooking the brownies would do the trick, no?)

My brownies will screw you up. If I calculate it up, I'm getting only about a half of a gram of pot per little square of brownie. So I took only about a gram and it had me higher than I've ever been before. The effects are way stronger than the effects of the same gram smoked. Which is sorta weird cause everybody keeps saying that you need a whole lot more of the brownies to do the same thing as smoked. Next time I will only take one little square (a half gram) and see what it does.

My recipe was as follows:

One box of duncan hines mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup canola oil
a half pint my alchol/pot mixture that had been going for two weeks.

I mixed well and put in an 8X8 pan, cooked for about an hour. In retrospect, I should have cut back on the water, because they came out still pretty soft in the inside. And you can definitely taste the everclear, so probably next time I will make them with cannabutter. (although the alcohol taste isn't bad at all) But the mix didn't smell at all while I cooked it. I would have felt comfortable having mom over. She never would have known a thing. They just smelled like nice chocolatey brownies.

So you just got some everclear and soaked half a ounce in it for 2 weeks then strained out the weed and the alchohol you left with you made into brownies? i dont see the point of making brownies if you have already got a very strong potent substance you can just mix n drink?

Do you think that this method would work well in cookies too? and what is the minimum time needed to soak your buds in the everclear for?

you could also soak it 2-3 weeks then let the everclear evaporate for a day or so or until the sticky tar is left over"iso hash" if theres liquid let it dry more then put it in your brownies,if your daring and want to evaporate the everclear fast do it outside,use pyrex and put it on a grill and keep the heat really low so that you can see vapors escaping but if starts boiling its to hot and will catch fire,you want evaporation not ignition when its all evaporated and cooled scrape it,there are plenty of other ways to evaporate it quickly just use common sense.but if want the best method use butter and simmer it in a crock pot on low for all day

Well, the everclear doesn't exactly taste good. Some people say you can mix in some raspberry flavoring or something, but everclear is probably too strong to make it taste right without some pretty strong dilution, and I imagine it would be difficult to keep track of just how much pot is in each dose that way, but yeah: the alcohol/pot mix is called green dragon and it's very strong. You could drink it straight.

The minimum amount of time needed to soak the weed in alcohol? I've heard as little as three days. Obviously the longer the better. You want to grind the weed up good to expose as much surface area to the alcohol as you can. And you definitely want to use everclear (vodka and gin take longer and the water content leaches out more of the bad stuff from the weed, so you pretty much want straight grain alcohol).

The method should work well with cookies or anything because the alcohol evaporates when you cook and just leaves behind all the goodness.

yeah but the butter method stinks up the house real bad. with my method, no one knows a thing. all it smells like is chocolately brownies, not incriminating at all.

Run it out side in a crock pot,If you don't have plugs use and extension cord,ive seen people use camping stoves to boil water and do the butter method outside.
