i used the isopropyl method. i broke everything up and then i mixed it with the alcohol. after i strained it and let it all evaporate, i ended up with the syrup-likeshit that i scraped up and i looks very dark, but i think thats good though(? i think) i also ended up the what looks like a powder or even keif. thats right, right? i just been scraping the two together. and i only used about 2 grams of shake and stem since its my first time i just wanna see how it turns out.

noone can tell me? cmon man...i just need to know what my product should look like. and if someone could tell me about the potentcy of the different colors of hash and hash powder that would be great.

i followed his directions to a tee and my hash turned out just like his! i only used 2 grams, stems, and trim..only shake for 20 secs, that is very important, the more you shake the shittier your hash will be...my finished product was dark brown, and hard like candy...when smoked it bubbles then melts, soooo dank and potent!!

just by the way yours came out, i did it right. but i soaked the shit in the iso in the freezer for like 2 days. dont think it hurt, but not sure if it made it any better. and i only used like a gram or so of stems so it wasnt enough for me to actually test it, besides i was high already. ive also soaked my broken bong pieces (it was so sad, i seriously almost cried) in the alcohol, and it turned out black. but it still looks like res, rather than hash, so i may have just extracted res off my piece....?

oh yea, ive also done it with vodka. that gives it a deep reddish amber color. tastes pretty good. but im guessing the iso comes out stronger, but the vodka hash tastes better in my opinion.

Well I know that the longer you leave the trimmings in the iso, the more chlorophyll will get trapped and drain into your hash which I think makes it that dark brownish color. Good iso hash is a lighter color.. "the lighter the better" So just remember that when you do it next time and you only want to shake for like 30 secs nooo more then that then drain. The THC desolves instantly, so therefore no need to let it sit or store it in a freezer and whatnot. it actually makes the finished product worse.

i think the powder stuff your getting is from the stems, just really fine peices. i used to make this all the time and i got the same powdery stuff, its good to mix with the sticky stuff to make it easyer to work with.

now i use acetone.

i put a good amount of stems at least enough to get abount an inch layer in the bottom of a patron bottle.
i pour in acetone till it covers the stems.
next shke it around for a good 5 mins then pour through a metal strainer or screen onto a clean plate of glass.
right after i pour that i hit it with a heat gun, blowdryer also works but not as fast drying.
so after that first layer dries pretty much then i repeat the same process until all the actone is gone from the patron bottle.
then just make sure you dry it totally to evaporate all the acetone, it will smell like weed a little when its all gone.
also feel the bottom of the glass plate it will be very cold.
after the bottom is not cold anymore you can let it sit for an hour to make sure everything has evaped.
now you are ready to scrape it all up with a clean razor ( i use 2 it helps) and form it into a ball if its not too sticky.
if its to sticky to handle get a bud and grind it up so its powdery add that and work it in till it doesnt stick anymore.
