Question Smoking while waiting on high from ingesting?

I ate cannabutter, and I am waiting on the high. I am impatient tonight, so I decided to smoke a little bud. Will this mess up my buzz from eating or do I just sound silly?

I have been known to do this because other wise I sit and say "is it hittin yet" a million times in my head waiting for it to roll up on me.

Usually I smoke a bowl to hold me over.

I like to smoke about an hour after eating it. By the time I'm done with my bowl, I'm MUCH higher than usual.
