Default Cooking and Eating principles...
It seems to me that a lot of you are hung up on cooking the crap out of your weed for hours and hours. This is NOT necessary and from what I've read in posts, many of you are going way overkill on the amount of weed you use.

Let me simplify things for everyone by sharing my recipe for chocolate chip herb cookies and allow you all to debate on cook time and methods.

1). Using Tollhouse chocolate chips - follow the directions on the package to create your batter.

2). Take an eighth oz of good bud - make sure it's good and dry and using a mortar and pestle like this one ---> http://www.lehmans.com/jump.jsp?item...CT&itemID=4838 grind your bud into "flour" (powder basically).

NOTE: it's important to NOT use a mechanical grinder as the plastic tends to hold a static charge and your triches will get stuck to the sides of the plastic - you know what I mean if you've ever made hash this way.

3). Lay out your cookies on a sheet making them the size you want (not too big). Yes, before adding your 'bud' flour.

4). Preheat oven to 350 deg F.

5). Get a measuring device and measure one teaspoon of bud flour. Take ONE 'cookie' (dough ball) from the sheet and start kneading the bud flour into the individual cookie dough ball. Put it back on the sheet once it's mixed well and reshaped.

6). Repete until all your cookies have a teaspoon of herb in them.

7). Stick the sheet in the oven and keep an eye on the cookies - they should be ready in 12 - 20 min. You want to make sure that the cookies are thouroughly cooked (crisp) as opposed to chewy - moist cookies could mold and ruin your fun - crisp cookies keep longer.

Now... HOW you eat them is just as important as how you cook them so take notice. I hear a lot of whining about people 'not feeling' anything after eating scooby snacks so pay attention... Eat your cookie/s on an empty stomach. And if you're so inclined, chase them with your favorite alcoholic beverage as alcohol facilitates absorption. Wait for one hour before eating another!!!! Trust me - it takes a while for bud to kick in when you eat it. If after an hour you want a bigger buzz eat another.

I have NEVER had a bad batch of cookies - EVER. So if you apply the logic of making this recipe you can see that you don't need to cook your stuff for 6 - 8 - 12 hours. There's probably no harm in cooking it for that long as long as your mix doesn't get too hot but really, what's the purpose? I've actually simmered bud flour in butter for 15 min and had great results. No need to nuke your shit for hours.

So for all of you people who are freaking out about cooking the piss out of your bud... chill. Experiment with this recipe and you will see that cooking with herb is really much easier than you think.

Let the flaming begin...

Sounds good to me man. I've found a method that never fails (like you).....I use a betty crocker brownie mix that calls for a 1/3 cup of veggie oil....use 1/2 oz of mid-grade bud grinded very well (so I don't have to strain it out later), and just simmer that on very very low heat on the stove-top for 20-30 minutes, stirrfing frequently. PS...I'll be trying this with high quality goods eventually. Then I just use this bud/oil mixture to make the batch. I usually cook them in the oven on a lower temperature than what is called for (I think 350 is the called temp, I usually use 300). In my pan, it makes me 9 brownies....which, I believe, should have about 1.55 grams each of bud delta 9 converted to bud delta 11 (if mixed thouroughly, and of course not until your liver process it).

Ok, My wife keeps her cookie dough in the freezer so I thought I would give it a try. I used less than a gram of premium sour diesel bud. I was nervous about wasting it but there is always more growing around here. I sliced off enough cookie dough to bake two cookies. Threw the dough in the oven at 300*. Didn't have the time to try them last night. This morning I consumed half a cookie with my morning coffee. Started feeling the effects in one hour. Felt really good at the 1.5 hour mark. Lasted for a while... pretty good for a half of cookie. I was glad I did not eat a whole one. Nice and easy. The idea of making cannabutter was stressing me out. Sounded like to much work.
