G'day

I'm in the process of making my 2nd tincture. Although my first worked out quite well (made some elixers and honey/syrup with it) i was never able to get rid of the sedement from the bottom, and it kind of coloured my concoctions.
Do you think i would be able to use one (or more) of the bubble bags to remove that last big of sedement or would it remove some of the good stuff?

Why go all out with a bubble bag any screen small enough will filter out that crap..i would go with a cheese cloth..they will be down the baking needs lane in your grocery store

I do use cheese cloth.

First i remove solid stuff with double or triple layers of cheese cloth. Then through 2 or 3 coffee filters.
But theres always a fine sedement floating around. So I was wondering if a bubble bag would be more effective at that final filtration without affecting quality.

I would just bubble it all, but i like variety in my green consumption.

No suggestions on which bag to use, or if the bags will remove the good stuff from the alcohol?

Ok, do you think it would be bad to run my tincture through the bubble bags (after freezing tincture) to turn any leftovers into bubble?

Would it ruin the tincture or the bags?

I never filter out my tincture, I just keep the herb in there. I put a piece of cheescloth over the neck of the bottle when pouring, and voila, just ver fine particles....

I've seen videos of people making butter where they used 5 gallon bubble bags to strain the mix, then squeezed the bag to drain. Alcohol should disolve the resin so it passes through the screen and the bubble bags should hold up fine.

use the bubble bags to collect the hash. crumble this up and use it to make your tincture.

I'm buying a hash washer (I hate hand mixing, I always feel that I'm leaving trichs) and doing as fdd suggests. The taste is just awful.

Now that i've got my bags i don't know if i wanna risk ruining them, so just gonna use cheese cloth, and probably syphon it off afterwards too leave behind that little bit of cloud.
