i understand that you can use BUTANE to dissolve THC out of your marijuana through that whole filtering thing. it leaves the THC honey/residue behind while the butane evaporates into the atmosphere.

well i was wondering if it would work with a high-proof alcohol or even isopropyl alcohol. since alcohol is highly volatile, we could do the same process as BHO. can someone confirm this or even try it. i dont have the abundance of weed to perform such an experiment.

a hypothetical procedure would go somewhat like this

1. obtain weed and a high % by vol. alcohol (for example 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol)
2. leave weed in some alcohol
3. leave out for like a few minutes, allowing the THC to dissolve and the alcohol to evaporate.
4. then filter out the remaining liquids and allow for that to dry off (will it leave residue?)
5. from here on out i dunno whatll happen, because ive never done this before lol.

DO not... ever... ever use rubbing alcohol. It is poisoned and will harm you. The alcohol evaporates, but the poison does not...
Use Everclear, you can use methanol if you evaporate ALL of it. One of the best things to use is something calle petroleum Ether. I havn't been able to get it here, but if you are in a big center, I am sure you can pic it up.
I tend to consume alot of weed via alcohol. I use lemon extract 90% alcohol, I soak my weed in it for about 3 weeks.
What you can do with Everclear alcohol is put 1 OZ in a 26oz bottle. Set it in a cool dark place for a good 3-4 weeks. Then at that point, you can filter out and sqeez out the weed. Put the liquid in a shallow pan, put a fan blowing on it, and in a day or so, you should be left with crude oil, very potent stuff.
I like to bake my buds before I put them in to ensure ALL of the THC is activated prior to my filtration.
Again, never use rubbing alcohol, never!!!

so this crude oil will it be and stay liquidy? and what is the color?

If all the alcohol or butane is evaporated it turns into a goo about the same thinkness as molasses. Turns a dark brown. I love honey oil done the butane method. Drop a few drops on a blunt.

although i have found i usually get more this way i preffer ice water the best followed by butane then alcohol and last anything heat extracted.

As mentioned, if you let it all evo, you get a molases like syrup/oil. I tend to leave a bit of alcohol in there to keep it viscous. Then I just dip my J in the alcohol/oil mix, let it sit for a few hours, and you are left with a joint coated in resin... taste and bangful!

I do something similar with Opium to coat some J's if I am in the mood...

isophoryl is fine ....
im alive and well.... ill admit i just use metho when i do this method i find its just as good as ethyl ether... and cheap
heres a hint there all really potent alcohols basiclly and all work.

ethyl either can be found at few places.. and a few things ... id say dont worry about it... but the most common easy place for people to get it is some hobby stores, but there are lots of ways andsome better ways but i cant br fuckrd listing..

besides your not rying to make rock so i sy leave theethynol for the cooks theyre already having enough of a hard time getting ingredients at times lol

you can do certain things with the oil if you want too... i can tell you how to make it rkinda like hash 2.. i figured it out when i started t0 think of ways to make it more managable
