So what do you fine people on RIU prefer to cook with? Cannabutter or cannaoil? Do you feel one produces a better high than the other? It'd be best to have made both with the same bud if any of you have. Share your experiences! I'm a long time smoker and a first time Cannachef!

I swear by coconut oil... I swear!

Its got way more fat content than any other oil and thats what you need to extract more thc.

I use whatever the recipe calls for, usually. I hear butter can absorb more thc but oil is less likely to burn, and is usually less work in my experience. Both have performed really well for me though. I just made a batch of brownies using vegetable oil and they work as good as they taste.

I always use butter now because once i used oil and for like two days after i ate my tasty baked goods i burped out the smellest,bad tasing burps ever lol

i like making cookies (out of the box) and using butter, you can always add more butter =P but adding to much oil can destroy the recipe.

We use olive oil because of trans fats and the oil will hold much more THC than butter will.We have tried other lighter oils with little or poor results.

definitely gotta go with oil if your farmiliar with the process, theres less waste with oil, and for lack of a better term.. it gets you twisted. Butter is definitely what you should try if its your first time, its a fairly simple recipe and almost anyone can make it. But as far as my preferences, i like the oil!

extract ur thc with the said oil from a recipe (such as brownies), use it in the recipe, divide the brownies up, and figure out how many proposed grams per brownie u have....I make 1.55g brownies from mids and its sweeeeeeeeeeeeet
