orange looking residue making butter?

I just tried to make some butter, and for some reason there is like some orange salty like residue that is at the bottom of the butter...I'm really afraid to eat it until I figure out what it could be...The MJ did have orange coloration, but I thought the butter was supposed to be green..also it is very granular, is that the crystals??? sorry I'm new to cooking with it, but it doesn't seem right
