i have abused alcohol for 30 years and have never missed a day at work except when hospitalised. ( not through alcohol may i add)

my criminal record comprises of f.y.i. 2 suspected thefts no charge (for takeing junk out a skip) 2 cauctions for canabis 1's c & 1's b class due to the law classification blip we had whare the scicence council said to lower it and then the gov aginst thare advise raised it again then last year i got caurght just after picking up 3.5gr senci i recived a warning. so to boil it down the only thing i have on my record is posession of a plant 3 times over ps 3 warnings = cauction 3 cautions equal a courght apperance, posession of quantitys over 7.5gr can lead to supply charges posesson of 1kg or growing = prison, personal factors may make large diffrence in sentanceing

i am one of those pepole for whome alcohol is worse and i described why erlyer i assume most pepole feel simaler effects, and the minority of youths youre on about makeing evryone look bad its the same with weed youve got to apply the same sort of moderations, its no easer to wake up with a hang over than if youve stayed up smoking all night but thares no ache's n pains ive got so pissed before i was to drunk to go in to work the next day wouldnt happen with weed it was eyseyr to fit in to my spare time without tomeny adverse effects on my life, im not to good at moderation i did loose my job working for perkins engines making cnc'd tank engine parts for the challenger cv12 by being late tomeny times, but i was doing rotateing shifts 2-10pm 6am-2pm 10pm-6am rotateing each week ive never made £500 a week net before tax, or £20 an houre over time (while smokin an oz a week) and i started trying to get tomuch of a personal life to fit around those houres, i might have bad spelling but i dont care you and i know what im on about, im dyslexic not stupid id like to see you get the jobs ive had, but atleast youre mature enugth not to be late 3 times in a year i lasted around 3 years, oh and please dont talk about alcohol as if its not a man made drug, what i dont get is we use it at church during communion but was crist blood alcoholic yet is says in the bible god gave us all the seed baring fruit? on the earth for us to eat from my religous aspect and glutteny is in the ten comandment's...

I agree with you all. I am a medical mj myself after having spinal cord surgery in my neck with hardware to hold everything together. I suffer from severe nerve damage and and chronic pain and normal methods do not work

The article CLEARLY states that banks don't want to touch the money because they could get into huge trouble because pot is illegal on a federal level! Using a bank takes you into interstate commerce territory where the feds can make the case that it's not a state issue.

There shouldn't BE a dispensary business. Cultivating marijuana is as therapeutic as its use. Patients should be allowed to cultivate it, period. It should be done in the open. When we don't have to be stealthy, secretive, and clandestine about it, the costs go away. The marginal costs of your third grow cycle are minimal. It's so cheap to produce that there really shouldn't be such a lucrative market for it. Since most people in the world have never even seen a live marijuana plant, it does not occur to them how simple the plant is, or how little it needs to propagate. It's seen as a highly technical thing with a hazardous manufacturing process behind it. It doesn't help when the typical grow room picture looks all shiny and has vents and cords all over the place. People who aren't in favor of marijuana to begin with, have a hard time differentiating the grow room from the meth lab.

I feel that it would be unjust for banks to refuse people the service of holding thier money just because the money was made in the mj industry. Im glad to hear that there are some democrate that see this aswell and are working to correct this.

As a Colorado citizen AND an employee of an MMJ business I have first hand knowledge of this issue. I have seen these completely legal, routine transactions between growers and dispensaries done with tens of thousands of dollars in cash, in backroom settings where everyone is nervous as fuck, not because anyone is worried about police but because any asshole might come in and kill for that kind of cash. It doesn't need to be that way. We pay taxes, spend the money locally and want to be able to get paid by check and deposit them into our bank accounts like any other business. Why wouldn't the banks and local government want to see that revenue?

I work for a bank and yes the regulations and policies in place are bull! As long as the $ is coming in and being invested, the "banks regulators" should bud out bc at least the ! Is now coming in and is stimulating this fucked up economic crisis!

I dont know why you guys think taxing marijuana would be sooo profitable for this country. I love my bud, but i also know that if marijuana is legal people will either grow themselves or get it from their neighbors before paying big taxes on it.
