I have alot of trim that I have already squeezed butane threw and was wondering if it would be worth it ( dont really see why not as i can continue to add more trim and let it sit for 3-4 days and remove trim and add more)

Do I have the right idea here or am I just gonna make some nasty alcohol?

also do I have to use a straight alcohol or can I be mixed with strawberries or apples or cherries like moonshine in a mason jar with strawberrys, then remove strawberrys and add weed????

they sell 50% moonshine by me legally but nothing thats not flavored

just wondering if the sugar will effect it somehow

Ummmm, I'm predicting the latter. Maybe a vegetable oil extract and make brownies.

50% is too low a percentage of alcohol for a quality extraction and I doubt that the fruit undertones will overpower the greeeeeeeeeeen overtones. Have you tried ordering 190 proof shipped to your door? http://www.winechateau.com/

I found a rum thats 80% i dont know if its clear or dark , im in ca and they.said thats the highest you can get here.

What do you mean.by predict the latter?

Also should the used trim idea work

#1, I would not recommend using butane.

#2, I would not use anything that had butane on it to make something I'm going to ingest.

Grab some bubble bags and keep it natural.

Predicting nasty greeeeen tasting rum, which I don't personally care for, but is a matter of taste.

The used trim idea will extract the remaining cannabinoids, but I would also add a final 250F purge/decarboxylation cycle after alcohol extraction, to rid the alcohol of any residual butane.

Ok good to know thanks..

So my basic understanding about making alcohol tincture is that i can .

Fill jar with trim then fill with alcohol, let sit for 3 days shaking daily. then 4th day cook to 250f with trim still in alcohol then strain, and i have my tincture..
From there i can
Use tincture as it is

or

Can i cook off alcohol and concentrate the liquid to 1/4 its original size while keeping all thc in the liquid?
Then add more trim and alcohol and redo process till tincture is strong enough?

I would freeze the material and use a 3 minute soak, before separating the alcohol and the plant material.

Here is a link to our QWET procedure: http://skunkpharmresearch.com/qwet-extraction/

You can use multiple soaks with the same alcohol to concentrate up to about a 50% molar concentration, or you can reduce down the alcohol to concentrate it.
