After the last visible ISO evaps[you can see it go] i leave in oil bath[better temp control and no steam!] but reduce heat instantly to settle it at about 70C, leave it to cook for a while, there is still some ISO there, give it 15 minutes, this helps firm it up too! Then remove, smell the oil, no trace of ISO will be left, let it cool, depending on quality of weed and how well you filtered, it might glass fast, this is a sign of...not so clean, but OK, really good ISO takes a fair bit of cooking to glass! If at all! Mine stays a sort of sticky gel, easy to use! Any harshness in the throat during exhale is a sign of ISO, cook more!! Cooking experiments will give all sorts of results

OK, i cant be bothered working out how to send messages so here it is, basic!! 1..You will need..two glass bowls,[large] a kitchen sieve with handle, some reasonably fine mesh curtain, a couple of large jars for filtering, the filter should sit nicely on top of the jar with the botton in the jar! FREEZE everything, i mean EVERTHING!! NOW, this method is OK for amounts up to an ounce, if your going to do a couple or more, one at a time, with gear kept frozen till needed, a lot its easier to dry ice extract in a 160 micron bubblebag and extract from kif!! So, take your frozen ounce, or less and put in sieve with curtain inset, now, hold over one bowl and pour 1 liter per ounce, you can do a half liter an ounce, but this gets the lot!! Pour it through, as it slows to a trickle, quickly move sieve to other bowl and pour first bowl through it, then again, and again. I can do 10 pours in less than a minute, thats about your limit, watch the color, the slightest green tinge and its time to stop, four or five pours will do it, but if its still gold and OK, pour again, the better the strip the more oil!! ONE pour through with such an "average" solvent is NEVER going to get ALL your cannabanoids!! Now the crucial fast bit is over. I cant emphase enough the time factor for the strip is critical, thats why freeze everything, it locks up the chlorophyll[temporarily]. Now its time to filter, first, use a standard white painters mask , it gets most shit and makes it easier on the paper coffee filters..Then put it through one coffee filter, in to jar!!, pour off as it fills to another container, time is not a problem now! Lastly, put it through two coffee filters, it should now be clear gold, if still a little cloudy, filter again! Last step,l get an electric frypan, sit evap dish in it, pour in the ISO, and evap at 70C, when the last obvious ISO goes, pour water in to the pan, and let it cook at 70C for 20 or 30 minutes, remove and cool, what you get, depends on a lot of factors, which you will find with practice, its as strong as ANY extract, and is VERY easy to smoke compared to...BHO..yuk That should do it for ya, but practice makes an expert with this stuff, i dont know of another solvent that will give so many different products!! Small runs[5 to 10 gms] are more forgiving, its quick and easy to do a small run for a couple of nights smoking, dont even have to freeze, a slight green tinge wont hurt the potency, its only a bit and it smokes great, 5 grams of GOOD bud will give you nearly two grams, about 30% Leaf, i would not worry about, extract the resin, then ISO it!! Oh, break up your bud in to bits about three mil square, this allows good contact with the ISO for ALL the trichs!!
