Think lower, much lower.
Pick up a local Westword and there is page after page of $150 an ounce advertisements.
Due to our strict laws, there is not a pound price, as even a caregiver for five patients and yourself, you are only able to "legally" posses 12 ozs (minus whatever your patients have).
But a peak at our local craigslist health and beauty section will show that prices are very very low.....

Look on CL you will find pounds.
but at $150 an oz, thats only $2400 a lb, so i am sure you can finish the math......

No, not top shelf, but at lb level yeah your not far off, 2400-2800 seems to be the high end, but again this is non medical. We cannot sell to shops, cali still can. Kind of causes an odd flooding of the market.
Yeah it is really all about who you know and how good the quality is. There are still goes getting 3400 in cali. But it is insane quality.
Truer words have never been spoken. I am sure there is still guys here charging more, for less. Just like you said its who you know.
See what $150 for an ounce will get you. It seems there is a lot more crappy weed out there than there is decent and a lot of it is coming from the dispensaries. I gave 5 grams for $40 to one of my patients and she started texting me later that night telling me her friend said he gets eighths for $20 at the dispensary and she started accusing me of charging to much. I told her she should go to the dispensary from now on, a week later she texts me again asking if I had any and that I was right, the dispensary stuff was shit. I told her I don't deal with people that are a pain in the ass and to remove me as her caregiver.
