You are saying you wanted to take a clone off a clone? If so pictures would help to see how many growth nodes are there and the size of the clone you want to eventually clone. Cloning is one of the most stressful events to plants so be careful and good luck.

I would wait before taking a clone. But the best place to take clones is the bottom portion of the plant because that is where the oldest hormones are at. You have a wonderful candidate at the bottom there but like I said I would wait till you have more growth nodes and side growth.

Oh and a question on cutting them. i just kinda wung(dunno if thats a word) it last time and one of the two clones worked. am i supposed to cut like flush with the main stem of the plant of like more on the branch?

Making the cut is at a 45 degree angle. That depends on you if you want a larger clone then cut closer to the main stem. If you want a smaller clone make the cut at the outer side branches. It is wise to take clones off the side branches without disturbing the main stem too much because that is the main pathway for water and nutrient exchange. I also place a cut at the bottom of the stem of my clones to increase the surface area where roots can grow out of rather than just one side. A good idea also if your clone has some fan leaves on it then cut them in half so the clone transpires less. Be sure to use a rooting compound. Be sure to maintain humidity @ 80-90%. I use a humidity dome. It takes patience because the manual method the fastest I have done it would be around 6-8 where I got roots. There are awesome cloning machines out there pricey but gr8 for its application.
