Default Pictures in CFL forum...

I have noticed a lot of HUGE buds on the CFL forum.. more than I am seeing from HID lights...

of coure the outdoor forum has the largest BUDs


BUT it is a bit peculiar that this forum is producing better size nugs... at least for the pictures i have seen... than the HID(HPS) grows

i would have to agree alot of those buds look suspiciously like hid, hps buds.

My thoughts are....

Sure it's possible that some people on here are cheating and posting pics that are not even theirs... but

I know that plants grown properly under cfls, will definitely produce larger buds then plants improperly grown under HID.

Just cuz you are growing under HID does not mean you are getting huge buds... It's the entire grow that will determine the size and amount of buds.

In other words...

You can get the best grower on this site and have him grow with cfls
Match him up with the worst grower on this site growing with HID.

The cfl guy will get some great buds..
the other guy will get...... a dead plant =[

My partner wants to use CFLs with maybe some other lighting that's not HID. Perhaps he will convince me it's possible to do so, and grow sufficently so that I am able to self-supply (I hope so) - we'll see!

Sure its big but they weigh much less because they are fluffy.
My last plant had a big bud that looks huge on a picture but it weighed 3gs on the scale.

I am VERY pleased with results of my 1st grow with CFL's. I'm averageing more than an oz. per plant & I've got wicked nice nuggets. Of course I did use 850watts of CFL's and T-12's. Lots of pics too check it out.
I am getting a 400 hps for the winter (when the heat wont be a prob) so I'll get to see the difference if any. Can't wait for that. Peace & Happy Harvesting!
