Hey guys, I just started a few plants from some decent bagseed. I have them under 3 CFLs inside a computer case with an 80mm fan exhausting the heat....gotta start somewhere. Eventually I will move up to bigger and better setups, but for now it's gotta be stealth so I won't expect much. My buddy also thinks that I won't be able to get anything out of this, so I'm willing to learn so I can prove him wrong

The first 2 plants were planted on thursday 7/31. It looks like they are just starting to grow their second set of leaves!

The other 2 plants were just planted last night on 8/5, so they should be sprouting up soon.

They look pretty healthy considering they have been in the dirt for only a week

The box on top of the case is to cover up light that comes through the exhaust fan on top of the case

My second 2 seeds finally sprouted!



Looks like this is day 4 for this plant. My camera gave up on me before I could get a pic of the other little guy, but they honestly look the same.


I saw the benefits of watering with left over beer on another thread, so I tried it. I watered it down a bit since my plants are so young. Idk guys...it hasn't even been 2 days since the beer and the plants seem to have grown quite a bit. Maybe it's placebo, either way they are looking good at 9 days old




OOPS, looks like a spilled some of the water-beer mixture on the other plant Looks like it didn't hurt too bad though...



First case of beer-burn? Perhaps...

i lost the front drive covers so I had to duct tape it for the time being. the cardboard box on top of the case is to block the light that comes through the 80mm fan. I'll implement a smarter way to do this soon, but for now it does the trick.

I'm a huge fan of micro grows, so i'm in for the ride on this one =]

As for your light/fan problem... Go to walmart, head down the air purifier section usually next to the fan section... Look for activated carbon prefilters.. you should find a box with like 4 filters in it... the filters look like scutchbright pads, but black... Sandwich it between your case and fan... This helps with the light issue and will help with the smell later on.
