Alrighty, well time for another update.

So I awoke this morning to SS who's planted still under soil, hopefully she pops her head today !... BS has still done nothing to crack or anything really to report on. I do know the paper towels are wet enough and there is heat and humidity as seed #3 which I had put in as a back up. Has now cracked and is showing the beginnings of a tap root. If I had to guess I'd say around noon I'll be planting #3. We'll see

Final Update of the Morning or most likely day unless something sprouts.

So the same as yesterday I decided to plant a seed with a small tap root instead of giving it more time to end up growing into the paper towel.

So today at the exact same time as yesterday (9:45am) I planted what I'm calling #3. As soon as I can find my freaking digital camera I'll get you guys another exciting picture of DIRT !!!

Its now been 24hrs since SS went into the soil and so far no sprout although I'm not expecting one till later today or tomorrow. And as per usual nothing has happened to good ol BS not even a crack yet mean while the 2 smallest seeds I got are already under earth. Go figure !!

Another day has passed and nothing new to report .. SS and #3 are both happily under earth, not wanting to sprout up and make me a super excited guy. So since I have to work all day today, I`m giving the 2 children a few sprays from a myst bottle to keep the top of the soil moist till I can get home from work tonight. I have my fingers super crossed to come home to 1 if not 2 little green sprouts !!! Come to Poppa !!! lol

To answer your question, I am only planning to get 1 mother out of the 2 seeds I germinated well 3 but that one seeds looking more like a dud as days go bye. Anyway the goal is to get one nice healthy mother who I'm pretty sure I'll be able to maintain a decent and constant veg state under 4 - 5 26W CFLs.. As for Flowering, well the goals 4 - 5 CFLs per plant, however I don't plan to have more than 2 or 3 plants flowering at a time while more clones veg.. I'm trying to get a cycle but I need a mother plant first So I hope that kinda answers your question without too much rambling. Another thing I'll say is I'll get as many bulbs in the box as I can and still control temperature. By the time I find a mother plant I should have a seperate smaller (by smaller I mean about 1/2 as wide otherwise same dimensions for height and depth) box that'll be used for the mother and to veg clones. Then the box I"m currently using will become Flower(Bud) Central !!

I hear ya buddy my space really aint very big either, if you look at the 2nd link in my signature you`ll see my thread for when I built my box. I`m pretty sure it`ll be sufficent for personal harvests. Let me know when you start a journal I`ll happily drop by

Well folks, today the first REAL update I have since well I bought and germinated the seeds. SS popped its head above ground today !!!!! I`m quite excited to know that I did thing well and good and didn`t mess up phase 1. On to veg aka phase 2. lol Heres a pic of the lil guy its only 6:45am so I`m sure more will change dramatically over the day, however this is what I saw when I awoke.




The thing that makes me happy is the sheath has fallen off so I don`t have to tweezer it off and possibly hurt my plant. So yeah, thats about it for now. I`m just really excited and had to tell someone even if its a message board that doesn`t talk back. lol

Let the Grow begin !

yay! I just noticed the thread, its awesome to see theres other people around toronto and the area growing. I'm just half an hour north and doing an outdoor grow. looking into my first indoor, so maybe I can do a little clone swap with you I don't have a whole lot of money for the grow box, let alone the seeds. we should go hang out at vapor cantral or kindred sometime

Thanks very much CGM (Thats what I`m callin u since your names too long to type lol) Its actually quite funny you mentioned that, i`ve been talking to a few ppl in the area about clone swaps. However this isnt the place to do so outta respect for the site. However there is email, PM, or MSN

Thanks for the kind words ! Stick around I plan to document this grow quite in depth as there are always new ppl looking for answers. I am one of those ppl so I figure others can join along and learn with me. That way they can avoid my mistakes and take in the great advice from some of the experts on this site.


As for VC or Kindred, yeah man I`d love to. Get at me via one of the ways I mentioned above and we`ll go from there.
