i have a home made reflector and i was wondering was it safe enough before i used it. it's made of a peice of aluminum sheet metal screwed onto a 1inch thick peice of plywood. then i drilled some holes in it and ran the wires through. the bulbs and the sockets are on the side with the sheet metal will this be safe enough to resist heat and not become to hot?

aluminum keeps pretty cold...
its also kinda hard to catch on fire..
without pics we cant really tell you much, as long as your wiring is solid, then there should be no issues...
