has anybody done any scrog with cfl's...if i was to do this scrog do i really need to have side lighting...any body have pics of it being done....

no you dont need side lighting, just a flat wall of them on top, scrog was actually originally thought of for people without HID lights, so you should be good, i would actually thing this would be the best method for cfls

Oh yea and please remember to train your plants through the screen, i see a lot of people that just let them grow straight through. You dont want to skip this if your using cfls.

i use CFL's on my ScrOG. sorry, no pics. but i have the CFL's mounted flat above my screens.

frankly, i hate it. the coverage of the bulbs is so poor and they cant be placed close enough together without separating the bulbs from the ballasts.

the good news is the nature of ScrOG means i can train the buds under the bulbs and compensate. ScrOG rocks, CFL's dont

I'm going to try it with my grow, I am currently doing.

For a small cab crow scrog with limited space... cfl's is almost the only way to go. the heat of hid's make them impracticable for such grows imo
