Hey guys, just thought I'd post up my budget CFL grow.

It's 20" x 19" x 30" currently vegging 4 bag seed which just have popped out of the ground and its going to be there first time under the lights. They went straight in the soil on the 01/07.

I'm using 1 x 48W (5000*k) and 4 x 14W (5700*k) currently with room to add one more light because there is a spare socket. Most likely add one 2700*k spectrum light just to mix it up.

Not sure whether or not to LST it or just to let it grow normally and top it a few times...? Opinions.

four plants may be to much for those 4 lights, definetly pick up more as they grow and get them as close as possible to the plants cuz those 16 watters don't do shit, try to get more of the 43 watters, they are more expensive so i went with buying a shitload of the 27w so i could spread them out, for veg the daylight(blue light) bulbs are the best, when flowering the cool white ones are the best

Ive got a few more lights to add in later stage.

Day 10

Temps stay around 70* - 75*
Running 24/0 since yesterday afternoon... will switch to 18/6 from tonight I think.

So I went to the hardware store and bought 1 x 23W (5700*k) 1 x 28W (5000*k) to replace a couple of the 14W bulbs... so now there in.

That's all I am buying for now... I will add the 14W'ers back in once the plants are bigger to cover more foliage.

Anybody?... When can I start adding a slight amount of Miracle Grow to my water?

You'll wanna wait till the plants are at least 15-20 days old. Old and strong enough to take nutes basically.

what type of soil are you using most soil have nutes in them that last about 3 weeks after first watering .. most miracle grow potting soil has it..plus there still young yet wait till about a 2-4 weeks..
