My first grow turned out to be MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE MALE SOB!!!
Was fun to grow though 1 showed sex real lategot my hopes up oh well time for another batch

now starting my second grow
bagseed i'm still a lil skeptical about that overseas to US shipment of seeds (i want to try Big Bang feminised so bad $46.00 total ship included from rhinoseeds.com)
got 1 sprout its about 1 week or so old and germ'd 9 seeds. all popped, then placed in soil in jiffy pots.

Lights:
2 6500k 23 or 26
2 5500k 23 or 26
2 2700k 23w
fixture is shaped like a stick figure with four feet two on each leg.
will post pics if more seedlings have popped through the top.

try putting a banana on top of your soil from weeks 3-4 i did it and got all females, search banana religion on this site and you will find out how and why it works

Alright here it is Update:

We'll call this Day One:
Bagseed
7 of the 9 seeds pooped through the soil the others just stayed put no motion.
3 of 7 aka Destingy's Child - have popped through and are reaching for light
4 of 7 aka 4 Play the Back Up Singers are right at the top i can see all of there round lil heads.
And then we have Queen Latifah she's about 2 or 3 weeks old from sprout real short and bushy.

Set-Up

2ft wide x 2ft long x 4ft high
Walls painted white and covered with emergency blanket i found at wal-mart (2 bucks or so highly reflective and keeps heat gets a lil cold in the basement)

Lights
20/4 time schedule
2 - 6500k 26w (3200 lumens total)
2 - 5500k 27w (2600 lumens total)
2 - 2700k 23w (3200 lumens total)
9,000 lumens total with a homeade reflector (cardboard, hanger pieces, and the dull side of tin foil)

Scotts potting soil
MG potting soil
Flower and Vegetable top soil
All mix in, had it all alying around from previous grow.
No nutes yet but i have MG plant food (24-8-16) and Vigora Plant food (10-10-10)

First, you can't add up lumens, so you will need more light later, for now you will be ok.

2nd, your home made reflector isn't helping much... make a new one, but don't use foil, you can make a better reflecting one out of the emergency blanket mylar... by the way, get more mylar and line the rest of the inside of your cab. You want as much light reflecting off the walls as you can.

actually don't really care about the lumen addition. the reflector is good enough it improved my last grows plants so im keeping it, plus the door is cvr'd all the way and i have a mat to reflect from the floor. as far as more lights i have more lights 42w, 2 27w, reds for flower once i see how many are true ladies then maybe more lights will be bought other than that im rolling with what igot not looking 4 fantastic results here just doing it 4 recreation. don't really care about yeild i just like weed so all that extra stuff keep it. thx 4 the comment though, don't be afraid to come on back now ya here

It's all good man... To be honest, any grow that yields enough bud for you and a couple of friends to have at least one fun and relaxing evening... then it's a good grow..

Day 2

4 Play stretched out to reach for the light
(michelle popped out and streched for the light) Destiny's Child

switching 18/6 starts monday since everybody is all accounted for, transplanting next week

just remember the 3-4 weeks are the most important, having it there now will increase the likelihood of a female, just make sure you change the banana before it gets moldy, you DON'T want mold any near your plants

sorry sorry sorry for the delay on the updates got frustrated at the grow and didnt wanna post anymore.

Update:
down to 3 plants for some reason they all had stopped growing i thnk it was to hot with all the cfl's. Girl took camera on the low so no pics for a while.
I thought Queen Latifah was a lost cause so i put her outside and she survived and sprouted up about a foot and showed sex a couple of days ago. Brought her in, transplanted her, and put her under the 4 red cfls's (3x23w, and 1x42w) and 1 (6500k 23w) blue one. cross your fingers with me lets hope she survives. she kinda tall i tried to lst it but i think i broke the stalk had to put like a turnicate on it i hope she survives. I want her to look like my first grow.
The other two are outside waiting for a lil more growth and maybe a sign of sex.. so there it is the update.
