Default unstable temperature
In my CFL box I have four 40Watt Daylight bulbs. I have the box located in my closet, The dimensions are 24"W 24"H 14"D. I have two sprouts coming to life inside my box. My temperature, during lights on, veg cycle, is unstable~86F to ~93F. Lights off there are no problems. Unfortunately i will not be able to get my temps lower--closet temp is usually in the 80's, running A/C is too costly, i'm supplementing higher temps with Sugar, yeast, and H20. If the temperature is not constant and changes within the given range, will it cause stress on my plants? I have a Wal-mart 4" fan circulating air inside, another 4" fan for intake and 2 CPU Fans on top for vent. I am using Nirvana Citral, <---John is cool if you're cool to him, if you don't get seeds blame Uncle Sam's nephew Customs. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas? I have Uncle Ed's "Easy" MJ cultivation and our beloved SMB (easier). I tried the SMB and got a male--heat stress. Any ideas? Opinions? Experience(s)? Mahalo

All I can say is that temps always fluctuate in nature . . . obviously it'd be best if you could keep it in the low-mid 80's, but I think it'll adjust to it's environment? Good luck.

THe most likely outcome from unstable temps (especially high ones) are hermaphrodites or very stressed stunted growing plants. My last grow suffered from this after my fans gave up one day and it reached 105 in my grow room!!!!!

My plants have always done ok in the mid to low 90's and the occasional 100-103 range. Just keep air circulating.

Yeah i was shooting for those temps by adding frozen h20 bottles near my intake fan. Then as i was all irie i figure that liquid close to electrical won't work out too well. Mahalo (thank you)

Yeah, this happened to my previous grow. Temps would get to 105F and i got a male.

Yeah i do have it cracked open on the opposite side of my closet behind my door so light won't penetrate, but i can still get some air flowage i assume (stoned theory) that when the wind does blow it may contribute to the fluctuation. Mahalo (thank you)

If it's true then i'm 1 for 1. lol. Mahalo

I hope so, maybe that 1 for 1 was the genes. i got good air circulating, i can see my sprouts tweaking (moving) from the air flow. Mahalo

Check the history of your strain and see where it grew up. It could be able to handle the temps just fine if its from a hot climate.

My strain comes from the town of Citral in the Hindu Kush mountain region...or along the lines of that. Basically, it's from Pakistan when i searched it up a while back. I wasn't able to find the climates for the specific region. Anyone know of a good website to look up climates?
