Hello all at RIU!

This grow journal is going to be documented as detailed as possible as it will be a good source to look back on when we start our second grow. Learn from our mistakes and such. We will will be growing 5 plants to start out. It is all mystery bag seed from the same source, pretty sure all the same weed seeds. GOOD weed too.

The light set up:
SEE MORE BUDS light mount set up.
(4) 42 watt CFL
(1) 23 watt CFL
(1) 23 watt Flood light CFL (kinda poopy)
(2) 9 watt cfl (better than nothin)
(1) 20 watt blue light fluorescent tube and fixture.

We have a cute little clamp fan attached to the big plant right now as it is a bit over a month old. It's name is Otishia.

So here it is DAY 1 GERMINATION of 4 seeds

Beans!These were just placed between damp paper towels in tupperware and placed in a dark warm place for a few days.

Promptly popped them halfway into plantable pots root up to give em strength.

We dont check PH as of yet but it hasnt been a problem..so far.

Oh and I'm sure some of you guys saw my other thread when i posted as EMPYR. Well, now that me and my girl are in this together we both started this account and will be documenting together! Here is the plant that i have been slaving over for the past month and a bit!!

I'm gonna put this one into flowering at the same time as the other four, unless it turns male on me!!

Some of you may have noticed the bananas at the base of the plant. Bananas are a natural source of ethylene gas as the fruit ripens. It is a scientific fact that ethylene gas feminizes plants..google up 'BANANA RELIGION' and see what i bes a talkins aboot.

Thats bananas!! lmao Wonders never cease! My first thought was- Oh look at this ...some monkey is tryin to grow a pot plant! Hahahaha lmfao
So how often do you change the banana? Do you just eat it before its bad, and then replace it with a green one?
What? I cant hear you, I have a banana in my pot plant. lol
or Is that a banana in your plant or are you just happy to see me?

I put two bananas in about a week ago. You are supposed to let it sit in the pot til it is almost completely black. Keep in mind, I have never tried this before so I am not saying it works..I read a lot about other people doing it and they have had 10/10 female success rates!! pretty nuts.

I laugh every time i see the bananas too..

I just noticed that Otishia has grown its first 11 set of serrated leaves. Is this a sign of good health? She has nodes poppin out of all of the secondary growth branches, but she is not a confirmed 'she' yet..I just cant wait any longer..AARGH!

If your not going to flower Otishia untill you flower the other 4 you might wanna consider toping her or tying her down. Other wise she'll be pretty big when the others are ready. Just a thought...
How big is your grow space?

my grow space is about 3.5'x3.5' and about 12 feet tall..its just a small closet. I may just have to do something about her height, cuz i dont plan on flowering these guys for 16-20 dayss.. how would you suggest tieing her down? i dont really wanna top her again as she has heads poppin out er'rywhere!!

i have my four new germinated seeds under a 23 watt flood light with a nice white hood and a 23 watt cfl Y adapted with a 9 watter cfl. is this enough light to make em pop up or should i centralize a 42 WATTER over the four of them?

Ohh.. well if you're only going to veg the others for 20 days you won't need too. Besides with 12 ft height you have plenty of room. I didn't realize you already topped it and its a little tall to tie down now forget I mentioned it. lol
It's just that I have some plants (from random seeds) that are really short and some that are getting really tall and its been tough trying to keep good light proximity to all of them. It would be sooo much easier if my plants were all the same size.
