cool, but i have a pretty large pot, and since ive been watering, i havent even seen any water come through the drainage holes. am i giving the plant enough water? at the moment i have a spray bottle that is set on mist, and im just watering the dirt, all of it, until the top looks moist enough.

and i have perlite in there, maybe its retaining alot of the water?

dunno, help? lol

Perlite makes it drain better

To water keep giving it bits of water saturating the soil until it drains out the bottom. Dont pour it all in too fast or itll come gushing out and youll have a mess lol. But yeah water until it comes out the bottom and dont be afraid of just pouring the water on top.

Then dont water again until its dry 6" deep. The roots will grow out trying to find the water
