I'm very new to growing, to be honest, i've never grown before.

but i recently hurt my back severely and the doctor recommended marijuana, but with my low-income status, i will be permited to grow it as a means of saving as much money as possible.

I have chosen to grow with CFL's seeing that they are the most sufficient.

I need to grow 3 plants. But the thing is all i know is that i am supposed to use 8 42w(6500k) bulbs for veg and 8 42w(2700k) bulbs for flowering.

I don't even know how to handle the seedlings after i germinate them!

I am planning to use a grow closet about 2' by 3' and about 4 or 5 foot tall.

I need some recommendations on what lights to use, when to use them, and also what soil and nutes to use and when to use those!

What a shamble I am in, please everyone, HELP!

get some good soil.. maybe foxfarm.. or other good soil, maybe organic, expert gardener?
for nutes, just get N for veg, P K for flower... you pick the brand, theres tons of good..Advanced nutrients good

just germinate them in wet paper towel in a tubberware.
once shell cracks.. put pointy part in soil first, pack it down like 1/2 inch or lil more then water it.
dont need lights on for it, untill it sprouts up

then runt he lights 18 on, 16 off

Veg for about a month

Put in flower, and keep females

The 8 lights sounds like a good idea...
-you could get clamp lights
-you could buy a few 3-light-fixtures

Now what i would really recommend you do... Do a rubbermaid grow. 32gallon tubs.
-Perfect for 3 plants
-Large yield
-very small area
-perfect LST grow

first of all its 18 on 6 off for VEG

when you want to flower its 12 on 12 off

use fertilizers high in nitrogen for veg something like 25-15-10 i use 10-10-10
for flowering nutes use something high in potash like 10-54-10...thats what i use

fuck germinating the seeds just soak them for 24 hours in 6.5 ph water and put into dirt
i used to grow with the same CFL's you said about using, that will work but try to get an HPS lamp later on down the road ...it will speed things up a bit. when you are using the CFL's keep them as close as possible without burning the plants like 1 or 2 inches away.

i would recomend that the space you have to only veg them untill they are about 12 inches tall cause when you flower they will double in height sometimes triple. after about 2 weeks of flowering you should be able to tell if they are male or female. females have lil white hairs and show a lil later than the males. males have lil tiny pointed balls on sticks there usually are clusters of them.

yeah before i started i read the grow faq to get a good basic knowlegde of :

- what i need (equipment, soil, lights etc)
- what the flower cycle is
- what a plants needs are
- what is BEST for ME (in this case you)
