Just thought I would drop by and tell you guys that since this morning the little seedling has started to really perk up!! Am i doing the right thing by keeping the light close like that? I don't want stretched plants like last time i grew! lol

yeah with them flouros keep the lights 2-3 inches from the plant should be any heat issue, maybe get an fan to start blowin some air around. What are the lumen output on those 125w cfl's/ where did you find them??

K. Ill check and see what the lumens are at. Woke up today and a second seedling sprouted! The first is almost touching the cfls lol so i have to move the rig up just a hair. The second is still floppy and hasnt stood up yet but its getting green! The first is a dark shade now.

I also decided I am going to gently move the seedling on the right to the other side of the grow bin. I think these are the only 2 that sprouted out of the seeds I planted. Actually I think 1 more might go. Ill keep you guys updated. Im gonna go buy some CFLS today. At least a few cheap bulbs and the vanity setup from home depot. Wish me luck! That one looks healthy huh?

Well this is Day Three of them being up and out of the soil. A new one sprouted last night! They are a healthy green too. I went with my girlfriend to home depot last night and got 2 27 watt cfls to add to the two 75 watt bars that I have already.

Soooo much brighter now.

Anyways just got home after a space cruise and noticed that they grew bigger and another sprouted even. They sprouted at different times, thats why one might look more stretched than the next. It's pretty exciting though, they are doing hella good. The cfls in that closet blind me when i open the door. I am adding another 27 watt tommorow when i go get another extension cord. Don't laugh at the setup - I am going to bolt down those lights to the wall tommorow I think. I like the healthy shade of green they are becoming.

the first one shows the new sprout that just popped up which I will move to the right when it gets just a tad stronger. Other than the moving issue I am not too stressed about this grow. I hope I will get at least two females :P Well at least even 1 healthy one. Wish me luck!
