i've seen lot's of grow'boxes' that have foil around, so i thoguht it was right..
i've actually seen it quite alot.
so it's not as if i was trying to sabbotage his plant.
most of your post seemed to agree with the rest of mine though..

if you can swing a 4ft 8bulb T5 get one man i'm telling you they rock. mine is a newtek t5 and each bulb puts out 5k, about 40000 lumens....PEACE

Just cause you see it don't make it right...lmao!! Aluminum foil is the worst to put up. Most people put it up not knowing the damages that it can cause. It creates heat spots and can magnify heat spots onto the plant and burn holes right through your poor babies.

Yes mylar is the best to use, unfortunately not all people can get it without ordering it from the net.

true, I was just on my way to the local grow shop today and had a similar thought. Like how inconvenient it must be not to have a grow shop in your area. My sympathy goes out for those growers. I mean not only the ability to get my ferts and supplies fast, the people that run the shop i go to know so much about growing. anyway MYLAR

Here's another picture of the plant. I switched the lights to 12/12 just for the fun of it. Its been on 12/12 for a couple of weeks and I think it might be a male lol? What do you guys think?

lol damn that sucks. sorry i didnt know how to turn the flash off on my camera so the pictures weren't as clear as they could have been, but im pretty sure its 100% male because at all the node sites the flowers look like that. But umm would i be able to harvest and smoke it like normal even though its a male? I've heard it will be less potent but is that the only drawback or are the flowers not smokeable?

i would just chop it and start over bro... and your next run will be even better with the new knowledge you got and you can start flowering sooner this time. Male plant is pretty much useless for smoking...in my humble opinion
