Dude right on! My 70 watt isn't doing bad at all on my one female i ended up with. I bet your plants rly bud up compared to the cfl now.

Yea,im pretty sure im already starting to see the difference with the HPS vs. the CFL's.When i had both 42 watters running it only made 5400 lummens.And that was usually the most i could run to stay with in the temp range.Only some times i could run an extra 23 watter.And still that would only bring it to like 5900 - 6000 lummes @85F or more.

Now with the HPS it easily makes 6800 lummes @ 77-79F .Plus i dont have to keep the plants an inch away anymore.So i dont have to adjust the ligths at all now.

HPS's are def sweet.And mine only cost $79.99 at home depot.All i had to do was take the light bezel off,and separate the socket from the ballast and remove the reflector to extend the socket wires.I also had to wire my own plug,cuz the light was intended to be hard wired.

I plan on growin buds up at college...to smoke not sell, yes smoking weed is as religious as eating dinner for me so I need a big supply. How risky is it to grow with a tight ass RA up in my dorm? Is a PC Planter a good idea? How good are those things anyway, I need something easy to use as I am very new to indoor growing or growing at all for that matter.

As long as no one goes in room intensionally looking for the grow box,these things work great.The only problem with using a box my size (1X2) is that u can only harvest about once every 3 months.In this space i can only grow about an oz. at a time.If u had more space like the size of a small closet (or at least anything that was about 4X4)u would be able to solve this.Also if u had 2 grow boxes,one for veg and one for flower u could utilize the sea of green technique .

after reading a few comments posted on this site bashing the idea of growing in ur parents house i gotta admit i got a little discouraged, but this thread has given me new hope. thank you. i plan on havening 2 stealth grow boxes, made of hollowed out speakers. my design is actually quite cleaver and stealthy
