I was just wondering how much lumens or how many cfl's should i use to bud 4 plants in a 3' x 3' area..

A lot i only grow one at a time and i got
2x85w Big Cfls
1x30w
3x25w
3x30w tubes
= About 20,000 lumens per a sq ft
and that will get some fat buds if grown right.
remember Cfls are allwayz a little longer than Hps's

that depends on alot of factors my friend "alot" is not the answer, more about which ones you use and how.... this will fit in your area and its 6 or 8 42w DIY 4oz. minimum yield grow box

I;m flowering 3 plants as we speak I only have 15 bulbs. Last grow just grow one plant and got 2 O's off it with 6 lights. So its up to you. As long as you have MULAN you should need to many. Three plants 50 watts per plant. 3 by 3 area I would go to Lowes and buy a bathroom vanity and hang it with spiltters in it....

i use 6 - 100 watt equv and i do fine lol

but i grow 4 plants in a small 12/12 rubbermaid set up

i have one plant budding with 3 23watt cfls and its doin alright
