That statement was a general statement to those who post in this thread and other threads who continually dispute the fact that you can get a few ounces per plant from CFL even though there is a BOOK out on how to go about it. And to those who complain that CFL buds are airy.

Tanuvan, sorry for the misread. Lastfrontier, I think it's a cool hood and results speak for themselves. You don't strike me as a dumb ass and I am not trying to be overcritical of your setup. Good luck with your grows and like others here would like to see some pictures of your harvest. If you post up a start to finish then I will too, with my 2 70 watt hps and cfls. I am glad to find a replacement forum for overgrow RIP. We are all here for the same purpose, right? My main comment is that small hps lamps in the range of 50 to 150 watts should not be ruled out of a micro grow. A 70 watt hps has an 8 inch penetration, so I position the hps to the middle of screen and surround the outer paremeter with cfl.

i am getting ready to grow 2 plants right now ak47 and a polio strand both mild producers but great and potent for my self i like the polio it creats clumpy buds a single stock plant tho it seems to do better if i dont pinch it i will post some pics when i move because i want to do a 10 plant grow i do like your pics it is a nice set up my plants are not under the light right now they are on my computer stand i am wating i like to keep strands i just cut and clone as needed with very little light grown as a house plant they slow way down currently i have 12 live strands i will start again when i move my freezer is full right now so there is no need soon i will post some pics

im using 1000watt hps and all the electric and heat is an constant issue to keep in mind, so i was thinking about setting up sumthing similar to that CFL box.

I also think hps is definately superior to CFL's but CFL's do produce amazing buds. If you were growing many big plants, CFL is a nono, but a small sog with realistic numbers for people who is looking for personal smoke with "few extra" zips, i think CFL would be your best bet. i dunno, that massive kief bong hit just got me madddddd baked lol.
