26w cfl - Page 2

You WILL need at least 4 per plant for veg...don't listen to the guy that uses his MH...that doesn't really appy to this at all...no offence other guy. For some good growth you will want more CFL's, especially during flowering. I went with a total of 7 26W cfl's for 1 plant...never grew with cfl's before and wanted to try...so it was more of an experiment...that and i had never grown from seed always clones...but anyways...the amount of light i used deemed worthy, see my gallery to view the pics of it during it's almost 10 week life. I did top the plant at 3 weeks of age...not always a good thing..but it already had 8 nodes and was getting big, also i did do some trimming, but i know what i'm doing and i don't trim vital pieces away as you will see in the pictures. Also too having a mixture of warm white or cool white cfl's (2700K and 4100K) cfl's is actually a pretty good thing as well, i use the cool white bulbs to give a slightly less blue and a little bit of red...but make sure you concentrate on the blue side of the spectrum of max results. The way i had it was 7 lights total...5 being daylight (6500K) and the other 2 being cool white (4100K). I hope some of this helped...good luck with your grow.

dude i grew through the whole veg stage useing 2 26watt cfl's. dont lisen to me heres the pics what more do you want 2 26watt cfl's work. do what you want dude but you dont need 8 cfl's per plant in the veg stage. just look at my plant useing 2. my plant is 24 days old here and i grow from seed.

Point proven. You said use your MH for veg.

And BTW...what you veg with is just as impotant as what you flower with. Do you even know how to grow?...or even the basics?...cause not to be rude but your not giving sound advice.

yes i know how to grow and theres no need to be a fuck face. i looked at your pics do you know how to grow? im not gonna fight with you because your not worth my time. so good luck with your grow.

Ok i never used rude words...but hey i guess that comes with age. Anyways i'm just saying that on an average you need more then 2 lights to grow, you said you used your MH...you never said anything about doing a whole veg with just cfl's...if so...i gotta admit it looks good. That plant you looked at was an experiment...to see how well you can grow using these lights. I think and i know from lots of complments that it was grown very well. The more light you have the better the plant will grow, and that's the facts.

dude you where rude. my m.h light was in use so i had to veg with cfl's i thought i said that. i vegged that plant in the pic for 28 days useing 2 26watt cfl's before useing my mh light and i only used it for 1 day before i flowered my plant. so the whole veg was done with 2 cfl's and 1 day of mh light.

true the more light the better, i wouldnt be using only 2 lights, if you vegged with 2, what did you flower with?

I'm using 8 lights on my baby in my ava. a 2x 2700 lummy 2x 1700 lummy Both 6500k's and My Huge 5500k spectrum 7000 Lummy and 2 LED 168 red and 168 blue. And she has 4 roots growing big branches in vegging for a month now maybe a month in a half but I just topped it and will be flowering it later this month or next depends.

i flower with a 400watt hps.

and i veg with a 400watt mh. my point is you can veg with 2 26watt cfl's like i did and if the pic's are not anuff i dont no what more you guys want. if you really want good fast growth use mh. ok im done with this thread good luck with your grows everyone.
