Peace | Cool cheers DMGIX, I've got 20,000 lumens psf, so it should be worth it. |

| | actually, this is just a project. i have a 430w hps already blooming two AK48s and one very sativa serious seed's bubblegum. should be interesting. just killed two males of my only D39 of reservoir's seeds i had going and also all of my WW plants as they were all males too...bummer.
the project is using two feminized arjan's ultra haze #1. they are stinky! lol i hope to add just a couple maybe 42w 2700k CFLs...not sure yet, but i'm am sure i have time to decide as these are supposedly gonna flower for like 10 weeks! jeez, too long, but should be worth it. may move to the 430w after the others finish.
anyways, your grow is pretty cool. i really like smaller grows. i need to start some soil grows as hydro is like watching after a newborn. good luck though! it's looking good for you. |

Thanks Felix, I wish I could experiment like you're doing. So you have a HPS, it will be interesting comparing the results with your cfl grow. Bummer on the males, did you not think of getting any pollen out of them? I've never done hydro as I've heard it is high maintenance, and that's not what I like. Looks like you're sorted, enjoy your homegrown and good luck mate. |

| | #Update# | | Day 17 of 12/12.
Pistils everywhere, and thickerning out from the centre nicely.
Haven't given the nutes since I over did it with the foliar feed a week ago.
Slow, but steady progress.
Getting some Co2 tomorrow.
Temps a lil high, 28c is the norm. |

| | Ah.. finally a CFL set-up. I've been looking into one of these for the longest time. It is a pity that the volume of the grow space is so limited.. and these lights are basically in the infant stages of R&D. I'd like to see what these self-ballasted puppies do in the coming years.
MH and HPS put out so much heat that they have to be placed so far about the plants that the light energy is being lost exponentially over that distance (Inverse Square Law).
Again, it is good to see this thread (subscribed for future viewing) to see the results. Sorry to hear about the chemical burn though.. ya gotta remember, the soil will hold nutrients much longer than a hydro or aero set-up. Be carefull not to strain them too much.. hermies are a b*tch.
