i already have 4 23w 64000k cfls under 4 seedlings(1 cfl per plant) but the growth is kinda slow so im guessing they need more light. The cfls are 1-2 inches from the plants with homemade refloctors but i would fell better if there was more light. Its only the best for my plants so what kinda spectum would yall recommend. The soft white is a 40w, red spetrum bulb that puts out 2,600 lumens and the bright is a 32w that, white spetrum bulb that puts out 2,000 lumens.

You're only up to 8,000 lumens. You need 10 to flower.
Veg=2500 lumens(the RIGHT SPECTRUM(6500k) Flower=10,000 lumens(2700-3000k) You need more "daylight" bulbs right now. Do you have pics of your set-up? Be advised, most of the light comes from the sides of the coil.

i know dylight works best but thats not enough light out put and i actuakly think the slow growth is because of that.To make matters worse my plants are suffering because the roots are staying in moist water for too long which is leading them to sufficate.Isnt it true that if your plant isnt recieving enough ligh the growth will be slow causeing the roots to not use the water fast enough for them to dry out and receve oxygen? So right now the leaves are droppy and are showing more defencecys signs such as magnisum.

I use 42w of "Soft White for flowering, and 65w of daylight for veg, FOR ONE PLANT!! 42w is 2600lumens per bulb, the 65w is 3360lumens. The growth is just about phenomenal.

Stoner do you have a journal?
I would advise against the 5500k. CFL's may not put out that much light to burn your plants but the usable spectrum most likely sucks. Just gets some Y splitters and add some light. Your problem sounds different though might be compacted soil, watering to much, I'm not really sure. You do need more light eventually but you should post pictures. How big are your plants?

the plants are just 3 1/2 inches and they sprouted on january 2.well i have two plants and one i know for sure is overwater becuse of droppy leave and yellowing.the new leaves and older leaves on the other plants are pointing up but the color is a normal green.I think that might be tempature stree because the other day i put them outside and its was 64-66 degress and there mostly always inside at 75-83 degress.in 2 more days im gonna flush them and see if they get any better if not oh well there just for practiceing anyways.
