Question cfl's for flowering?
i am curently vegging w/ 9 cfls 1600 lm 6500k... i want to use cfls for flower. i think 9) 23 watt 1600lm 2300k? or should i use a higher wattage? also, not sure what red spec means. is that the little label on the side of the package? these will be used for 3 plants.

I am flowering 4 plants with 8 23watt cfls right now but plan to be adding about 4 more just to be safe.

6500k = blue spectrum = vegging.
2700K = red spectrum = flowering.

You can use 2 red for every blue during flowering - the red to flower, the blue to keep them short.

The higher the wattage the more lumens - the more lumens the bigger the buds

Thats the only problem with cfl's = the light penatation is not great - but if you position them properly they work great.
