Figured I'd share my current grow progress and contribute to the new CFL forum.

This is my 2nd grow, this time I'm using feminized Dutch Passion seeds -- 1 Strawberry Cough plant and 1 Mazar plant.

I'm using a total of 293 watts of CFL lighting (1x125W + 4x42W) in a closet. I'm not sure of the light spectrum on the 42's, but I think they what would be considered to be day bulbs. I've got both high and low spectrum 125'ers and used them in the appropriate stages of life. I've got Mylar on 3 sides of the grow.

Growing in an organic potting soil mix with extra perlite added. Using FoxFarm liquid plant food pretty much according to the schedule. Both plants were topped once.

I've found the Mazar to be a highly vigorous plant -- I've yet to really upset her. I would highly recommend the Mazar at this point, and based ont he pics you'll see that I should expect a very nice yeild I think. The Strawberry Cough, however, has been a bit more challenging and has wilted twice when watering snuck up on me. The SC has also stretched like a mofo once 12/12 started, so it's been challenging to keep the canopy even and such.

These are 62 days from breaking soil, and 24 days into 12/12. This pics in this post are the Mazar; I'll post the Strawberry Cough pics in a subsequent post.

looking good, i have a similar setup, just i have five 75w 2700k bulbs for my flowering stage, and this gives me a positive outlook on growing with cfls. hopefully i will have a similiar outcome, my plant is 2 foot tall and has been flowering for 9 days, it is a female, it is just a strain of some good dank i got from my friend who grows.

What do you see in my pics that prompts your advice regarding nute levels?

picture 3 in your second post... the leaves are super dark.. can;t tell if the tips are brown...

The pH is probably off a bit too... see the way they are curling and folding...

It is something to watch and tweak if you can..

Admittedly, I have no idea what the pH is. Let me throw that out there first.

The dark green coloring might just be the picture, but then again maybe not. There is definitely no browning/discoloration on the tips of any of the leaves, however, I can definitely swear to that.

As far as the curling/folding, I'll definitely watch that over the next few days. To be honest, I noticed that today as well and thought it was because I had just watered her prior to taking that pic. I'll see if it straightens out.

With the dark green coloring and the leaves folding over like that, if it's not overfeeding, what is it?

The dark green is a sign that the plants are very well fed.. probably at there PERFECT LEVEL.. BUT CLOSE TO being burned.

And the curling is pH? (that is, if they're not uncurled by tommorrow?)

GK, what about heat? Could that be causing the leaf curling?

Most of the curly leafs are at the top, although some are lower. She's a leggy bitch and won't stop growing tall! The tops are pretty close to the lights, so I thought that might be the cause of the curls.
