Second attempt (Kalebs 2nd Grow)

I built a proper grow box with help from my brother and ordered some Blue Mystic from http://www.marijuana-seeds-canada.com/

The grow box runs at 27-28 celcius, has 6 lights which can grow to 12 depending on nesescity (Pics to follow)

Currently I just put 1 main clone from a found female and 5 soon to be dead clones depending on how my main clone does.

I will be growing one clone and one (1) of the Blue Mystic seeds

No matter which sex the Blue turns out to be it's going to live and be used either as a mother or a father

I'll post pics soon and like last grow I think i'll probably need some help. Since I don't know if my original mentor (Potologist) is around I guess I'll put an open call for online assistance out there.

To.Potologist

Haven't had a chance to talk much, as you can see (soon) I've been busy *grin*

I know there's alot of damage to my clones, this is the very first time I've ever cloned and although they came through the process, it was very hard on them.

The clones are 9 days old, only one was showing any signs of roots through the puck netting and it's in the center of the big pot.

The two with it are back ups just in case and the ones off to the side are the back up back ups but they'll be dead within a day or so.

I'm running 2x26w 6500 bulbs plus 1x26w 2700k right now and will be moving up in lighting once the plants get established.

The grow box is made with these plans

http://420tribune.com/2010/03/diy-stealth-grow-box/

I'm using scotts premium soil plus with some vermiculite added in and no nutrients yet.

I've added an intake fan, moved the box to a secluded area, got rid of all but three and will get down to a single plant prior to starting the regular Nirvana Blue Mystic seed.

The temperature is now sitting at 27-28 Celcius

18/6 light schedual

no nutrients

naturally dechlorinated tap water

2x23w 6500CFLs (+2x23w 6500CFLs in one week)
1x26w 2700CFL

large exhaust 12v fan
medium intake 12v fan

WEll holy shit Mcgyver :) It looks like you have put your engineering degree to some use!! SOOO, let me get to giving ya some input. OH btw, Sorry I havent been around lately, its getting closer to harvest so I am gettimg more and more consumed with the daily operations :) None the less, I can say I have seen a similar set up before, and that grower had good results with the grow box. I think you have upgraded for sure, and it seems you may have a better chance at reaching a harvest. I have learned that Proper Preperation Prevents Poor Performance :) So the more planning the better your grow will be.

Lighting : You seem to be good at the moment. I think if you can make it to flowering, you are certianly going to have to make the majority of the light 2700k. I would at least say 4 23watter of the 2700k and one of the 6500k 23watters and you should be golden.

Ventilation : At the moment what you have is sufficent. However, I think you may need to add another set of intake and exhaust as time moves on and the plant gets bigger, it is going to need more air circulation than that. Perhaps even adding a small fan on a low setting to move air about inside of the box would be a great addition. It will also help thicken up the plants stem.

Water : If you are letting your water evaporate for at least 24hrs before watering with regular tap water you should be okay. However, if possible, I would check the PH or try to get your hands on some distilled water ( $1 a gallon at any food store) or set up a cistern outdoors and collect rain water. Nowadays, water treatment plants add chemicals that DONT evaporate regardless of how long you leave open. Depending on where you live this could be very true, and will only lead to killing your micro-herd in the soil.

Nutrients : Well I know you are probably on a budget, but I would recommend anything organic. If you can at least get your hands on some Big Bloom from Fox Farms, or even Grow Big ( for veg growth) from Fox Farms thats a plus. PLEASE stay away from anything from walmart, home depot, lowes. There is no miracle in miracle grow or any other chauncy fertilizers they sell. They are all synthetic based for the most part and horrible for your plant and its micro-herd. If you cant get anything decent give me a PM and I will send some help your way. :)

It was a good add to add some vermiculite to your soil. If you can get some unfertilized perlite that is another good option. I think your only going to make out with the one clone, and a seeder. Your clone is from a female mother so it IS a female. If that seed you grow out is a MALE...CHUCK IT. I would at least like to see you get to a harvest with some UNSEEDED Bud. Once we get you there, we can work on the progression :) The pot you have the clone in, may be to big. However, it will have to do at this point. If your seed turns out to be a female, obviously keep it, and find a way to make room for it.

Well, my man, you have certianly shown great signs that you are now addicted to cultivation ( I told you it was mate)! However, its a beautiful addiction and a truely healthy one :) Keep me posted m8. Get ahold of me in PM if you need some organic nutrient help! I hope to see some fine sinsemilla this time. YOU CAN DO IT!

You better have your pot smoking ass subscribed to this thread cause I'm about to blow this shit up with my baby.

The clone is a confirmed Jack Herer and the seed is a confirmed Blue Mystic and for what I payed for the seeds I don't care if the Blue is a boy, in fact I'm sorta hoping it is so I can reap some wicked Jack Mystic (Blue Herrer?) (Jack Herrer x Blue Mystic) seed stock. If it's a girl the hells yea I got me two ladies!

PM comming your way asap cause I don't have any organic choices where I live.......actually hold that thought..I told my rents that I got into plants (legit ones) and they brought me some stuff from the back home garden center. I'll get it now and post what it is...

RapidGro Rose food (7-11-10) http://www.srlegault.com/en/rapidgro/rg-7-11-10.php

YardPro indoor/outdoor flowering plant food (15-30-15) http://www.nutrite.com/Anglais/Index.htm

Terracycle Plantfood (0.03-0.002-0.02) http://www.terracycle.net/products/201-All-Purpose-Fertilizer

Tell me what you think and keep in mind that I think I'm in the vegetation stage right now

Well I think you should just give me a pm so I can get your some organic fertilizers that are worth a damn brudda :) Those that u listed are junk. While they may work ( not worth finding out or trying), they are not as good as other well know organic fertilizers that are superb for cannabis cultivation. I got some organic goodness for both veg and bloom. Veg fert is a organic product sold by biobizz, the bloom fert is Big Bloom which is made and sold by fox farms. Soooo...give me a pm man :)

I picked up my seeds from Seeds banner.jpg(link)----->http://www.marijuana-seeds-canada.com/
P8260002.jpgP8300018.jpg<-This is the start of my Blue Mystic, it made it through the alone time fairly well.

The overall set up for when it was unattended was this>P8300012.jpgP8300013.jpg

P8300026.jpgP8300027.jpgP8300014.jpgP8300016.jpg

^^^--------Is this flowering? Can it be reverted back to a vegetative state if it is?

P8300025.jpg <------This was the sacrificial testing plant

P8300024.jpg <-----------------This one is my spare

Did I trick my plant clones back into veg? I've never seen or worked with a plant like my main before, it has so many leafy parts and looks different than i'm used to.

I'm also still having a temperature issue, the temperature is sitting at 33 Celcius (91.4 F) either that or my thermometer is broken (entirely possible)

I picked up a Ph test kit and the dechlorinated tap water sits at 7 to 7.5 but the Turtle tank water sits at 6 to 6.5 and there's always the option of buying water from the store soon (thanks student loans!) What's the ideal Ph i'm looking for.

***SHIT***

I just went to go say good night to my babies and my mystic sprout had wilted over.

I forgot that plants root fast and that pucks dry out fast so it's gone without any water for 3 days in a bone dry puck. I transplanted, burried 3/4 of inch long stem and watered all the plants. I transplanted the spare clone as well into a larger pot and i'll post pictures tomorrow.

Why isn't anyone posting in this thread besides me and Potologist? He can't be here all the time to help out and a hive mind is much stronger than a single soul.

Holy Smokes m8, I apologize I have been extremely busy. First, I want to tell you that there is a reason I am not that active here at this site any longer. The only threads that get good coverage and attention have to have something to do with politics, religion, or sex. Its the only way to get people to talk. IMO, it seems sharing cultivation info has taken a second seat to peoples politicial opinions and other nonesense. I have moved over to another great site, that is more mature, relaxed, respectful, and seriously way way more helpful. greenpassion.org is a great place full of great active members that are willing to help anyone regardless of grow size or religious beliefs. :) I promise the grass is greener on the other side m8!

NOW, as far as your plants go. First, I can say " Gotz to be more careful m8". The mystic sprout had a great chance but IMO carelessness took its toll. I know we are not perfect, and cant be with our gurls at all times, but its all a lesson in time! The PH in soil that I shoot for is 6.5-7.0 is perfect any higher or lower and you may exp. problems. IMO, the other two plants look to be making do. I sent your fertilizers out on wensday morning so you should have them soon brudda! If you have any other questions or what not feel free to just PM me. I am always glad to help you out the best that I can. In the time being, I wouldnt hold my breath waiting on someone to join in or give some advice that is respectful, constructive, and useful. If you were to change your title to Who thinks 9/11 is a inside job, you would get hits in the 100's. But I recommend you just hop on over to greenpassion.org and get your feet on better grass. Take care m8, I hope to hear update fromy a soon!

Peace, Love, and Happiness

because they don't look a damn thing like the Jack Herrer their supposed to be so instead of calling them Jack clones, i'm calling them bagseeds or Undetermined strain
