I've been working quite hard over the past year or so now, and i've sorta flirted with the idea of sharing my " journey " so to speak. I've been lurking and noticed how people kind of.....Dog on CFL's and their capabilities. Done right, You can Grow POUNDS with cfls. Anywho, Let me fill you in.

I started off with $20 and a handful of bagseed, I went to walmart and bought a 6 gallon sterilite tub, a roll of tin foil,a bag of organic potting soil. I had an old fluorescent work light, took some old party cups and the fan out of my old computer, and with that, I had my first grow. I knew almost nothing of growing or even that less then a half mile was a indoor garden shop.
After 1 month my 2 surviving seedlings were now full fledged plants and were cramped...very cramped, I quickly purchased a 20 gallon tub and a 42 w cfl, and things were looking very nice, Time to flower!
After 3 weeks of 12/12 BY HAND, We got our first major heat wave....and while i was at work on this particular day The temperature in my box reached over 110 degrees! Needless to say One of my plants died a most gruesome death of dry soil and crispy leafs....luckily this one was a male and not to big of a loss. 5 weeks later was the day i had been waiting for...harvest! I got a measly 4 grams, but it was the best 4 grams i've ever tasted. Give a man an eighth, you get him stoned for a week, you teach a man to grow, you get him stoned for life.

After about 4 months, My knowledge of growing chronic was starting to Flower itself. After hundreds of hours of watching videos on youtube and reading " the grow bible" I was starting to really produce some fine fine herbage. By this time, I was growing in an old entertainment center which i had modifed to suit my needs, I was now using 3 42w cfls a small oscillating fan, FOXFARM Ocean forest and the full line of FOXFARM Nutrients. I was using lst and producing around 1 to 2 ounces per plant.
After Working my ass off, I had saved $2000 and was ready to take the next step....My own ROOM. Well now its 2 rooms, but i will share my original room, which is now veg. Also I had several VERY relaxing trips to Canada In which i had picked up some very nice strains.

Note! I have studied my ass off, probably harder than i EVER did in school, You may argue with me about my methods, but in the end, Different things work for different people. There isnt one right way to grow.

Lights, 1- 4ft4lamp sunblaze T5 6500k lamps, 6 Clamp light reflectors all mixed spectrum 52w each, 4 26w bulbs on lamp sockets, 4 42w t12 lamps 6500k, 3- 2 lamp t8 fluorescents mixed spectrum 32w/bulb. Grand total- 1002w.

I've also built my own cloner, which ive gotten down to a science and can produce healthy clones with 1 inch roots in 5 days. I do not use a rooting gel or solution, ive found most rooting compounds are not for use with vegetation that may be eaten, and i do cook with ms. mary j.

Very nice, so do you swap spectrum majority for flower or just do it with a lot of 6500 and mixed spec? no 2700k?

I use mostly 2700ks for flower, Maybe 400w in 6500k and 1500 in 2700k. Oh this isnt my flower room, this is just my veg room.

ha i know one guy who emptied is bank account and spent 3000 on a grow room...only to figure out he just couldnt do it.
