I am trying to find out if my helping someone burned me (actually my family, because of my ignorance (I don't want to admit stupidity))
as it is so close to X-Mas.
For 100 I bought 4 Hagen T5 HO 18,000 k lights...
are these good to grow my medicine?

i assume you mean that you bought 4 of the T5 fixtures and they produce 18,000 lumens.....

The T5 fixtures are the most efficient flouros you can buy today. They will definately work for you as long as you get the proper bulbs ( highest wattage bulb you can get for your fixture ) and you train ( LST, TOP etc.. ) your plants correctly.

Flouros need to stay close to the plants ( 2-3" ), and for vegetation you will want to get the ( 6500k ( blueish/white light )) bulbs, and for flower you will want the ( 2700k ( reddish/orange light )) bulbs. You should just have to buy the bulbs, not the fixtures and switch them out as needed.

i dont think you have worded that right to let people understand. those 18000k bulbs might work but they wouldnt be as useful to the plant as 2700k or 6500k would be.....
for the growth of marijuana you will need 2700k bulbs for for the flowering phase...
wen the plant is in its vegetative phase it needs 6500k bulbs.
its is better to mix you light spectrum as we would like to imitate the sun asmuch as possible. i think its suggested to grow with this light ratio...

vegging phase 2:1 (100w of 6500k : 50w of 2700k)
flowering phase 1:2 (50w of 6500k : 100w of 2700k) this isnt an exact science, some will work better than others....
