Default Nighttime temps in cfl cab

My cab is @ 2.5 x 4. Day temps are in the low 70s night temps are dipping to 50. I rigged a heating element from an egg incubator but i am not so confidant in this rig. Any suggestions or is mid 50s at night no big deal.

Mid 50s at night will cause the plant to slow growth to a crawl. It will not kill it, just slow the growth down.
