this is my first grow and i have chosen ak48 from nirvana as the prices were very good, i didnt want to spends loads on stuff and it all go wrong!!

what i am using in the pots is B&q multi purpose compost and vermiculite

the lighting is 5 23w warm white cfl's and 1 20w floro, im adding another 5 cfl's on thursday, the bulbs i bought from tescos 5 for a £1 !!!!!!

in my eyes everything seems to be going well, i added a very very very weak mix of miracle gro 24-8-16 yesterday and they seem to have loved it.

let me know what you guys think and any comments will be much appreciated

i also have a 12" fan in the closet aswell

sounds like your off to a good start ..how many watts u gonna use for the whole grow..

on thursday when i add another 5 it will be 230w of cfls not the equivalent watt which would be 1200w.

i was planning on adding a 400w hps but i think heat might be an issue, since i have read and seen alot of good thing about cfl's i might do cfl all the way.

when i had a peep in the closet this morning i thought i could smell weed but i thought na surely not they are to small,

well i was wrong lol they are smelling really strong already !!! i did read that ak48 was a smelly one but didn't realize at this age !!

oh yeah and would it hurt giving them 17/7 lighting???

17/7 is kind of random.. why not 18/6? IMHO 18/6 will give you the best results and i would wait another week. You should do 22/2 after they are no longer sprouts. when they are beginning to look better go 18/6! And when you feel vegging is done pop em into 12/12!

yeah thats what i thought so i will just leave them on 18/6 for a few more weeks then switch to 12/12.

plus i just found some mylar on ebay so will order that asap, is the diamond mylar better than the normal stuff? the seller states its 95% reflective, plus cost a bit more.

they really seem to be loving the miracle grow, like i said it is a very weak mixture so no nute burns.

lots and lots of new growth everyday im loving it and cant wait to smoke some!!! lets hope their not all males lol.

and i think its 15 days since i planted them now

if i decided to switch to 12/12 now how long would it take for them to show sex? and would it affect the yield alot?

hello everyone, last night i decided to top all 4 ak48, i used the unclebens method thats on the site, i bought some rooting hormone and going to try and save the cuttings.

i also bought another 5 bulbs and fittings so i now have 10 23w cfl's!!!

as the plants get taller i will be adding more light to the side of the plants.

let me know what you guys think.
