Default which pc fan makes no noise?
thanks, looking to move it inside and probally gonna convert metal filing cabinet (figure metal will be fire safer than wood,,,and can use that as an excuse if landlord finds) but a little concerned with noise, i have a pc fan in a 12" speaker box veg chamber but there is a slight humming and would like to improve upon this for my new flower chamber..any insight would be great

When purchasing a (decent) fan it will state 2 important figures, one the maximum airflow, such as 68 CFM and the other being the noise level such as 21.2 dB. The lower the dB the quieter the fan will be, and the higher the CFM, the more air will flow through the fan. I think 21.2dB should be quiet enough for your box.

Here is a graph of dB with various sounds.

Any time you have moving air, there is going to be sound. I do believe however that DC fans are quite a bit quieter than AC fans.
