I'm looking at a Hydrofarm 125/200watt cfl grow light to put in a 3' x 3' x 3' closet grow..anyone use this light or one like it??just wondered if it was worth to buy or should i keep going with my 10 42 watt cfl's....if i were to buy it i would still use some of my 42 watters for side lighting...my first grow i did 2 plants under 10 cfl's 42 watts and it worked out okay for 1st grow got little ove 1/2 ounce for 1st time not using nutes and using bagseed...do you think this light will help?

it is about lumens not just Watts. What is the lumen count

on a 125 watt 2700 k is 12800 lumens

And a 200 watt 6500k is at about 16000...

I'd say go for it....... a 42 cfl I think has something like 1600?? I think the single fixture would be less of a hassle but you should deff. keep some of the 42s for side lighting. it has a reflector too right? looks cooler? haha

thanks for your opinion...i think i'm gonna buy it..just wanted some info from some people who have expierience with cfl's...i would go with MH,HPS..but the space is small and my wife is freaked out over heat issue's..and we want to keep it as stealth as possible...hey if i can grow a couple of ounces every 3 months with 4 plants that would be freat for us...

that's the ticket. but yeah I've looked at them as well but never had the "guts" to get one. I just think it would save the frustration. of a ton of cfls. and when your wife gets paranoid and whatnot, simplicity= no nagging. haha I have a gf who tends to worry. shit......... I should take my own advice!

if your grow box is well ventilated, i would get a 150-250 hps/mh fixture, it would be about the same price as that cfl fixture. the hps would provide a better spectrum as well. a nice kit: http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=48631

Wow that light is nice...like i said my only prob is heat i want to put it in a 3x3x3 space thats behind my walkin closet in my bedroom the whole space is sheetrocked with insulation theres a door on the 3x3x3 space if i leave it open with fans running hopefully it will stay cool...right now i'm growing with 10 42 wat cfl's and the temp in 78 deg and 45%humidity if i switch to this light i'm afraid the temps might be too much...how hot does this thing get??
