ok so this is my first grow my setup is i got 2 plants with about 6 42w 2 additional in reflector clamps using miracle grow seed starting soil used epson salt as food been watering every two days the first pic is the one thats growing the fastest its on day 10 and the 2nd one isnt growing as fast what should i add to it?! all help is needed.

I only have one grow under my belt, it was Northern Lights.

I also use 42w CFLs, and I got great results. I would advise only feeding those seedlings just plain PH'd water for about 3 weeks before giving them any nutrients/plant food/salts.

I also would advise staying away from Miracle Grow soil. The only experience I had with it was a bad one- lots of bugs inside, with nutrients in the soil that you can't control. That doesn't mean you are screwed, judging by your seedlings you can grow healthy plants in there, it just might take a while.

Lighting sounds good. If you're using MG soil don't be tempted to feed them! it wont make them grow any faster it will just overload them with nutrients. Give them a few weeks before you start to introduce any nutrients. Take care with the epsoms, I'd be wary of watering it into the soil its far better to use it as an occassional foliar spray on the leaf as and when needed. Again, you don't want to build up salt levels in the soil. Don't try to push them too hard, let nature do its stuff

thanks for the feedback i notice a burn mark on my tallest plant this morning but i added foil about 2 days ago foil gotta go my grow is n a plain white so i think the reflection is better so hopefully i dont kill them.

Right on bro! NL is the way to go. I'm also growin NL. I'm in day 6 of flower. I started with MG soil. Ut switched to plain soil with perlite mixed in. Seems to be growing better as I control nutes goin in. Good luck mane.

it prolly got stunted from the MG soil. you are over that stuff! haha first time i grew when i was 14 i used it and stunted one of my plants for weeks

i made the same mistake with mg. i move them into fox farm ocean forest but im still having problem with the mg my root ball is still in it i would recomend a transplant.but i do come across people that say they have no prob with mg. check my grow first grow.will it work?

well im using the seed starting soil because it was low wit nutes and i havent had a problem with the other plant sprouted slow i think i messed up when i transplanted it from a cup to the 8 in pot.
