heres my 1st grow setup. i made a box, got some lights, and am hoping for the best. i have 4x 100 watt cfl's and 2x 120 watt cfl's. any advice?

uhh get that power strip and cords out of the area...find a way to hang them all above the plants...and kinda try to clean up your floor looks a lil dirty...nothin is better then a clean and safe room dude...cept a room full of buds

Looking good man... im currently 2 weeks into flowering on my 2 girls and this is also my first time (link in sig)... but yours are looking really nice... how far in are you? and i assume your still vegging, correct? do you know the strains? wish i had that much room in my closet.. lol but gotta make due with what you have i guess... keep up the good work..

they have been in the 1 gallon pots for almost a week now. i got them as clones. i just built the box (which does not have to be in your closet) and plan on moving it into my bedroom as my tv stand. yea im just starting to veg them and the strains are grandaddy purps. one question i have is how far should the light br from the plants during the veg stage?

Put the lights within 6 inches of the plants, then get a shit-ton more 42 actuall watt cfl's and arrange them so that they illuminate the entire plant from soil to cola. Just add the additional lights as they grow, they dont all have to be in reflectors, put them straight up and down in between every plant.

you can have the plants as close to the lights as they permit....use your hand as a test...put it in between the plants and the lights and if it is too hot the plants are too close or vice versa...your plants look good but like i said b4 the best grow space is a clean and safe one IMHO

Exactly correct, when growing with CFLs you need to get the lights CLOSE to the plants, and you are going to need more to ensure the plant is getting enough light. They do look good, but I gurantee if you do not move them closer and get more lighting they will start to deteriorate rapidly.

Also, Tin foil can create unwanted hot spots in your grow room. Take it down and spend $10 on some Mylar, you have a small area, the Mylar does help .

They look like a minimum of 4 weeks to me. Like the other dude suggested, I suggest you get some mylar rather than tin foil. Other then that, your crop look great.
