I am new to growing but I been doin my research on this website. So I started my own. Im gonna be growing Low Ryders' Easy Ryder strain. I picked it up off theattitudeseedbank.com. I germinated 2 of them using the paper towel method. Them I stuck them into Fox Farm Ocean Forest Organic Soil. Its been about 2 days and they have poked out of the ground. It says seed to harvest in about 7-8 weeks. Cant wait to my own shit.

Supplies:
Mylar
CFL llights 4x 27w for veg with 2 47w and 13 w flower
Total wattage: 165W using both spectrums
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
GOing to be using nutes soon.
2 2in computer fans.


Average temp: 85 and with lights off about 75.

Its been 2 days and this is how they are looking!!

These are my 2 girls about 3 days after germination.

Their stems have turned purple is this okay?
One look like its first leaves are like burnt? or maybe dried up?

Please if anybody knows whats causing this let me know.

Also other plant has almost its first set of leaves but they seem to be stuck together or something? By some yellow thing maybe it will grow out of it.

you might have to get some tweesers and remove that membrane on that second one so it can open

Dude this looks pretty good so far. You might want to consider a CO2 reactor, you can make one really easy and I read they help quite a bit. It might boost your yield a little bit.

Are you concerned about smell at all? I noticed you dont have an a filter/exaust system but with an open lid I guess you really dont need one.

Im about to grow my first plant (also lowrider strain) and am using a rubbermaid tub you should check it out and let me know if im missing anything or if you have any suggestions.

thanks griffin, i will probably end up using the co2. And i have a lid to the rubbermaid lined with mylar it doesn;t stay open all the time.

yea give it a couple more days, i tried it 2 early once and took tha whole head of tha sprout off

hoot, no i bought all of them separatly. It u go to home depot and go into the electric section its a bunch of socket to outlet things. like 2 bucks a peice

BUT MY OTHER GIRL IS DEAD!! It hasnt grown in the past 3 days and the leaves look really yellow and burnt. wtf. Should i take it out or leave it in??? Someone let me know if there is something I can do to save her.

So its been a while since i've updated... but i REDID my system so that all 5 CFL's are directed to the plants.

Unfortunately my first plant died so I took her out and germinated a new one the same day and planted it 48 hrs later and now shes been under light for 7 days.

Plant #1 is Alex shes about 7 days old and shes doing really well. Has 2 sets of leaves and she a little bit taller than the other one because I think when I germinated it I stuck it in about a half and

Plant #2 is Kim. She about 10 or 11 days old i cant remember but she already has 4 sets of leaves. She is shorter than Alex but she alot more full.

Every time I check on them they get bigger and bigger. BOTH are very health and no sign of heat stress or over watering so I know Im doing a good job.

*** I want to start using nutes soon... and does anyone know when I should start ???? Because I'm using a line from General Hydroponics and I hear its really good.
