Default Question about light schedule
I am growing some lemon kush with three CFLs on em. They are about a month old, lookin good.

My brother says we should keep the lights on a 24 hour schedule because CFLs are weak.

Should we change schedule to 18 on 6 off? If so, when?

first off welcome to RIU
secondly the FAQ is up there^^^
thirdly, your plants need to be on 18/6 for veg then switched to 12/12 for flowering.
fourthly depending on which types of cfls your using you may need some different spectrum ones.

happy growing.

Imo 18/6 is better than 24/0 simply because the plant needs time to rest which is the dark period. You could gradually take them down to 18/6 with no problem anytime.

You can keep them on a 24 hour light schedule for veg. Some say that the roots grow when lights are off and so while you may see more above ground growth with a 24 hour lights on schedule the roots will supposedly not grow as much decreasing your final yield in the end some say.
