Hey ive been growing under 2 20w cfl bulbs for awhile now its seems well and healthy just wondering if thatll do it? also im not sure when i shud put her into budding any1 no when its best 2 like a certain hight it shud be how do u no!? thanks

well if you have 2 20watt 6500k bulbs it should be fine for a seedling or 2.....but anything past that your going to need more light...and as to flowering i would do it is your grow space permits....up to u

Plan on your babies tripling in size when you flower. This will ensure that you have enough room. Also, you'll either need to upgrade to an HID light setup, or add 4 high wattage 2700k CFLs. I forced flower at 8 inches with 4 65w CFLs, cured out to 5.5 oz with three plants in an AeroGarden.

So when the plant gets put into flowering they grow alot? and also cudnt i just put it outside when it starts 2 flower? shudnt that be enuff light

depending on where ur at in the world u may be able to put her outside to flower ,, here in michigan its startting to get a lil chilly at night , id say mabye 3 - 4 more weeks & then it will be too cold and start to frost at night , which is not cool , and yes when they go into flowering stage they will double - triple in size ,, i would put mine on 12/12 at about 8 inches too , , and yes if u do that inside u will need to get a few 2700K cfl's, they have em at local hardware stores , they are 42 watt cfl's 150 watt equivelant $10 each ,, 3 of those will do the job , not as good as a HPS , but ull still get a lil somthin somthin from it

my plants about 13 inches tall....now under 2 cfl lights and she looks great u reken i could flower her in their with 1 extra bulb??

well u mentioned u had 2 20 watt cfl's ,, , if u were to get 1 extra bulb u would need somthing high power , go to the hardware store & get a few of those 42 watt cfl's , they are about 3 times the size of the basic 20W cfl, , get 3 of those and take out the 2 u already have in , replace em with the 42W 2700K lights ,,, , and 13 inches tall ,, if i were you i would put her on 12/12 asap . thats just my opinion tho , as i have limited hight to work with in my room ,, if u 12/12 now @ 13 inches , she will be around 3-4 foot tall when all said & done ... and 13 inches , how high are ur cfl's from the top of ur plant?? should be around 2 inches away . and a lil fan blowin on her will help too

No matter if you topped or not, they will still stretch during flowering. The amount at which they will stretch will depend on the strain along with a few other variables.

You should figure out how much room you have for plant growth first.

Say you have 2 feet for plant growth (this is not including room for your lights). Then you will want to flower at about 7 to 8 inches. You can achieve this by topping your babies again, but down to the height that you want. Then, wait a week for them to stabilize and throw them into flower.

This is only an example, so don't follow it to a "T."

I would definitely look into some stronger lights, like I said before. The more light you have, the bigger and denser your buds will be. HIDs are the way to go, but CFLs will work fine.
