It doesn't look like it to me. I'm not sure what those are called but both sexes have those on many of their nodes

How old is it? Lighting?

No, those are stipules. Like HundleBundle said, both sexes have those. The pistils (on females) will emerge behind those stipules, right in the crack of the node/stem.

okay thanks! they're about 3 weeks old and growing like crazy. i'm using 4 60w CFL's for veg. heres a picture on the progress of the plant.

Looks healthy. If you're growing indoors then the plant won't show sex unless you adjust the photoperiod to 12/12. I'd wait a while longer and let the plant get bigger before you start flowering.

Maybe make the switch to 12/12 @ 6 weeks? That's what I do and it seems to work pretty well.
