Unhappy 100 watt cfl fixture???

Hey...im just starting my first grow with cfls. I bought a hundred watt single cfl and it needs a large socket to power it. i also bought the converter so that you can plug it into a regular light socket.... which didn't work. So i go back to my local hardware store and buy a work lamp that can take up to 250 watts. i get home to plug it in and it doesn't work. Can anyone help me out here?

You need what is called a mogul socket.


8' Power Cord with Mogul Socket



If you want a 200 watt CFL, you will need one of those or a Mogul Socket.

There are Adaptors:
Mogul To Standard Bulb Adapter

Yea.. i tried all that and it still won't work. idk, i think i might just take it back and get a few more regular cfls. ...thanks for helping though
