Default Going to start Flowering with 12 cfls and 4 t12's
Hey all.. After reading around today, I found another man doing a similar set up, just shy a few lights as mine. So I decided to make a post. I'm also going to flower two clones that are about 20 inches tall now (veg 3 weeks), and a 8" mini in the middle for a small test. I will be using 4 t12 fluoro tubes above the plants ( 2 are 3000k, 2 are 6500k ) and 12 23-32watt 2700k CFLS uniformly around them and above in spots as need be. Ill have pics posted tomorrow morning after thier . I would like to hear any thoughts or ideas from you all. I know its not the most powerful setup and wont yield super amounts...but its just for me and hope it works out!! Thanks guys, should I add more Light?

Lol I appreciate your opinion and thoughts. However, I'm going to continue to do as I am because what you call "more then enough light" just means way good coverage. Plus I have an abundance of lights and that setup only runs $31.00 a month, so why not overkill? Anything else??

dang man, i love the CFL grows, cant wait to see the pictures. and to be honest ithink you may have JUST ENOUGh Lumens there for a couple plants. you are running lights thave have 1500 lumens max each those 12 bulbs are 18000 lumens all red spectrum, you should be awesome! specially if you dont let them grow to high, good luck. ill be looking back soon! subscribed. check out my grow if you have sometime

Ill have pictures later... Damn camera is not here. Each of the 12 cfls are 1600 lumens each (so the package says), so its about 70 lumens per watt. Then the 3000k and 6500k tubes should be around 110 lumens per watt as a total. I hope that the 6500k t12's will be enough for mixed spectrum. I may add some more 6500k cfs, I still havent decided. But that is not my focal point, as long as I feel I have good coverage around, above, and close enough to them, then I am happy. Iono, its just a simple projet to see what they can produce, like I said it cost close to nothing monlthy! Thoughts please?

I think its an awesome idea. from what i have seen and read, most people do a 3-1 or 4-1 mix or 2700k vs 6700k for flowering. i will be doing a 3-1 to start. i myself will be doing a 4-2 to start my flowering and the moving to a 5-1 and adding more smaller lights around the sides if i need it! im thinking i might just use a 2 foot tube veritcally on each wall.

Im very excited to see your photos. i have to go fix my LST. i had ALOT of growth last night
