ok so im almost done my cab is put together but i just read tht aluminum foil doesnt work for growing... i was under th impression tht it was good now im also goin to have a vent for air flow will tht work or no????

There is speculation that the foil causes hot spots and will burn the plant. I personally to think this is true. For the leaves to burn there would have to be multiple points of refection that would have to focus on one point, like frying a ant with a magnifying glass. I think you will be fine.

With CFLs I've never seen foil cause burn spots, or any other issues mentioned before.

With HID lights you might run into trouble though.

ive used it ,worked fine

I would not use it. mylar if anything. Also anything that is white in color reflects light
